Where Did the Day Go? (Update)

Moon Over Folkston - Wandering Through the Milky Way [Update...see comment below]
A question we've asked ourselves may times since this journey started...where did the day go? It happened again today as we both noticed that the sun was beginning to set - seemingly much earlier than it should have. It is a remarkable phenomenon. The days seem to pass so quickly and it does not seem to matter if we are off and visiting the swamp, some island, somewhere, anywhere, or nowhere in particular. Before we know it, the day is at an end and this is pretty much to the contrary of what I expected in retirement. We are both so glad that we've chosen this course - the days may go flying by, but I'm sure it is mostly because of all the enjoyment.

The plan for tomorrow is a return to Jekyll Island and I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures to share from there. For today, just a few local shots that were taken on a walk around some of the area immediately surrounding the Okefenokee RV Park.

Michael submitted "Waning Gibbous Moon?" which is indeed what is pictured at the head of this blog; however, I can't really give credit for responding to a question that I didn't ask. Keep following the blogs and I'm sure there will be another challenge posted soon!

the answer to the question: "where did the day go", could be any of the following choices:

1) down the toilet
2) up in smoke
3) out the window

glad you're enjoying it all despite the speed issue. If you wish to experience some slow time, perhaps just try sitting and watching a clock for a whole hour... that'll probably feel like a really LOOOOOONG hour. Or try not sleeping a whole night, but not occupying yourself with television or the computer or a book or any kind of mind-altering substances. Then you can get back to doing your regular stuff that makes the time go too quickly. Glad to be of service. No charge. ;)

Now I must say - what a cool name... "Jeckyll Island"... Is there a restaurant or hotel called the "Hyde-away" by chance?

have a good weekend folks - talk to ya both soon!

Sorry, No "Hyde-away" nor any other play on "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" - at least not that we noticed. We're not likely to follow-up on your suggestions for slowing the passage of time - we'll just continue with all the grand experiences and let the time fly as it will.
